THANK YOU to our 2007 MARAVILLA SPONSORS!

The MARAVILLA grand gala evening, to benefit the National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation, will feature cocktails, dining and dancing to acclaimed nuevo latino group, Manzanares, whose unique sound has been hailed "as smooth as Santana and as exuberant as the Gypsy Kings." From opening for Los Lobos in Las Vegas to winning numerous album awards, the Manzanares brothers play "music that fuses danceable beats, sizzling guitars and heart-stopping Latin rythms."

An unprecedented silent auction will also be a highlight of the evening, featuring over 200 pieces of original artwork. The foundation has created an ART for the ARTISTS FUND, which will receive 25% of the art proceeds from the MARAVILLA auction. Working hand-in-hand with the Center's Visual Arts program, this "Fund" will honor artists starting with the creation of a Community Art Gallery in the Center's Art Museum. In addition, the auction will also feature fabulous get-away trips, dazzling jewelry, restaurant certificates and much more.

Working hand-in-hand with the Center's Visual Arts program, the "Fund" will honor artists in a number of ways – initially with the creation of a "community art gallery" (to be named). The "Fund" will be established through 25% of the art proceeds from the MARAVILLA Silent Auction. The Fund is the Foundation's way of making the gallery POSSIBLE!!!

Passionate about building relationships with artists, the idea for the gallery was conceived by Dr. Tey Marianna Nunn, the Center's new Visual Arts Director. The gallery will showcase the talents of local and regional artists through annual rotating exhibitions in a special "gallery space" in the Museum!
